2024 has been a big one for Zach Bryan. In February, the Oklahoma-raised artist won his first Grammy Award for “I Remember Everything,” featuring Kacey Musgraves. His fifth studio album, The Great American Bar Scene, reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 200 following its July release. Now, the “Pink Skies” singer is teasing new music on social media shortly after confirming his split from girlfriend Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.

Social Media Perks Up As Zach Bryan Teases Forlorn Ballad “Rockaway”
Zach Bryan is known for penning songs that tug at the heartstrings. (By that, we actually mean, “Rip out your entire heart.”) It looks like his latest, “Rockaway—”which the “Heading South” hitmaker shared on social media Tuesday (Oct. 22) evening—won’t veer too far from that path.
In a video shared to social media, the U.S. Navy veteran has his back to the camera as he sings, accompanying himself on the piano. Place is another common theme in Bryan’s work, and this latest ballad paints a vivid picture of time spent in Queens, New York. Recall when we, went to Rockaway Beach / summer heat in eastern Queens / and a subway ride.
The post came just a day after Bryan publicly confirmed his split from Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, his girlfriend of over a year. Taking to his Instagram story, the alt-country crooner seemed to indicate that he was the one who initiated the breakup.
I love you. Idc about your personal life/mistakes. You’re a real Human and have real problems like all of us. I don’t look at you any different. Thank you for sharing your music with us. Sorry you’re going through this. ❤️

When Do We Get the Rest of “Rockaway?”
In September, Zach Bryan announced plans to record his sixth studio album next year. He emphasized that this would be the final album on his recording contract.
In a Rolling Stone interview with the legendary Bruce Springsteen, Bryan confirmed he has already written 14 songs for the follow-up to this year’s The Great American Bar Scene.
