Why Isn’t ‘America’s Got Talent’ on Tonight? When’s the Next New Episode?

Season 19 of AGT is starting to heat up. Last week (July 23) was the final night of auditions. Over the past eight episodes, the judges have selected a total of 55 acts to move on to the next round of competition. Now, those acts will compete for the grand prize of $1 million and a Las Vegas residency. While many America’s Got Talent fans are chomping at the bit to see who will move forward, they’ll have to wait another week. A new episode of the show will not air tonight.

America’s Got Talent won’t air tonight because NBC is broadcasting another global competition—the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Olympics kicked off last week with a memorable opening ceremony and will continue until Sunday, August 11. As a result, AGT won’t air tonight or next Tuesday. The next new episode of the show will air on August 13.

Those who need their AGT fix are in luck, though. NBC’s streaming platform, Peacock, gets episodes of the show the day after they air. As a result, fans can go back and relive all of their favorite moments from this season’s auditions. From unbelievably talented young people to unprecedented Golden Buzzers, previous episodes offer fans plenty to watch until AGT comes back next month.

When AGT returns, fans will have plenty of ways to watch. It will air on NBC at 8/7c. Additionally, those without cable will be able to watch the first night of live shows on several streaming platforms that offer live TV. For instance, DirecTV Stream, Fubo TV, Philo, YouTube TV, and more will air the new episode live. Those who have cable can also watch on the NBC streaming app after signing in via their TV provider.
