The country couple had an “Enchanted” date night at Taylor Swift’s hometown concert at Nissan Stadium on her 2023 Eras Tour. Following the state-of-the-art affair, the country crooner turned to social media (May 8) to share his experience.
Swift performed three shows at the legendary venue—Rhett attended her set on Sunday (May 7), which was delayed due to harsh weather conditions.
“Voice lost- ✅ All the merch-✅ Heard 22 in the rain-✅Inspired to play a 4 hour show-✅ 4 hours of sleep-✅ Worth it. @taylorswift #TSTheErasTour #nashvilletstheerastour,” Rhett wrote in the caption.
The Instagram carousel featured the “Half Of Me” singer and his lovely lady in a VIP box at Nissan Stadium. The second slide displays Akins dancing and singing along to “Love Story,” featured on Swift’s 2008 album Fearless. Rhett is pictured posing with close friends with a beaming smile in the final snapshot.
A TikTok user ran into the country hitmaker at the show and convinced him to exchange friendship bracelets. Swifties arrive early to the Eras Tour to swap homemade jewelry inspired by Swift. The idea came from Swift’s chart-topping track “You’re On Your Own, Kid,” which includes the lyric – So make the friendship bracelets.
“Can I give you one of my friendship bracelets?” the social media user asked Rhett. “I would love a friendship bracelet,” replied Rhett.
She continued to display her wrist filled with colorful beaded bracelets.
“You made all of these?” asked Rhett. “Well, I’ve been trading with people,” she noted.
While streaming their conversation on TikTok live, the user offered Rhett two options – “Shake It Off” or “Sexy Baby,” from Swift’s lead single “Anti-Hero.” The father of four was quick to pick “Shake It Off.”
“I want ‘Shake It Off,’ that’s the jam I’ve been listening to all night,” he admitted. “Are you sure?” he hesitated before slipping the fan-made merchandise on his hand.
Within the same weekend, Rhett kicked (May 4) off his HOME TEAM TOUR 23 in Des Moines, Iowa. Rhett pulled from his impressive catalog which includes 20 No.1 hits.
“It’s such a great feeling to be back out on the road – the energy in the room was just insane every night this weekend,” shared Rhett in a press release. “It’s going to be a great summer, and we’re just getting started. Can’t wait to see the Home Team out there!”
Cole Swindell and Nate Smith are serving as direct support on the 40-city run. In September, the trek will conclude with back-to-back shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
