Considered the “King of All Media”, Stern wanted to celebrate his birthday with style in 2014. And there seemed no better way than to invite Tyler to perform his iconic song “Dream On.” But besides watching Tyler’s vocal range, the singer also welcomed Slash to the stage. With the two icons sharing the song, Stern wasn’t the only one having a good time.
Posting the video on Twitter, fans took a moment to celebrate Tyler’s rich history in music. Comments included, “Have a great retirement @IamStevenT you were at my brother’s Harley Davidson booth at Daytona, one year, & he said you were the Nicest, Most humble guy~ Please be my brother in Heaven ~ Sorry about your Epic voice.” Another fan added, “His voice was always unique. He was a hard driver. I met him once. He was very humble and friendly. His voice needs a rest. Best wishes.”

Aerosmith Thanks Fans For Supporting Steven Tyler
Sharing the news on Instagram, Aerosmith explained the decision to retire. “We’ve always wanted to blow your mind when performing. As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision – as a band of brothers – to retire from the touring stage.”
While saddened by the news, Aerosmith praised fans for their support over the decades and for helping them achieve their dreams. “Thanks to you, our Blue Army, that spark caught flame and has been burning for over five decades. Some of you have been with us since the beginning and all of you are the reason we made rock ‘n’ roll history.”
