More About McCartney’s Recent Concerts

McCartney has been playing more than 35 songs during his 2024 shows so far. His October 5 concert in Buenos Aires included a rendition of his 1972 Wings hit “Hi, Hi, Hi,” the first time he’d performed that tune live since 2019.

As with McCartney’s 2023 concerts, the new shows also have featured him doing a virtual duet with John Lennon on “I’ve Got a Feeling.” The performance utilizes footage from The Beatles historic January 1969 performance on the roof of Apple Corps’ headquarters in London.

More About “Now and Then”

“Now and Then” was put together using a demo recorded by Lennon in the late 1970s, to which new vocals and instrumental parts were added by the band’s other members during the 1990s and 2020s. The track was released as a single in November 2023. It also was included on the expanded reissue of The Beatles 1967-1970 compilation (a.k.a. “The Blue Album”), which was released the same month.
