No matter where the road might take a person, one thing is certain – there will always be a gas station. And for years, gas stations were nothing more than a place to get gas, a cheap snack, and a cold drink. But that changed with the creation of Buc-ees. The gas station offered more than reasonable gas prices. Once inside, the gas station turned into a wonderland of food, merchandise, and a massive pit of BBQ. With Buc-ees holding world records, it seemed like the perfect place for Keith Urban to hold a surprise concert. But before taking the stage, the country star decided to get his hands dirty.

On Friday, Urban decided to kick the weekend off right with a concert in Athens, Alabama. With the performance a surprise, many fans rushed to the Buc-ees to see the singer in person. While releasing his album, The Speed of Now Part 1, back in 2020, Urban gears up for the release of his new album, High. Hitting shelves later this year, the singer watched as nearly six thousand people packed the parking lot to watch his concert. And besides putting on a stellar set, footage of Urban working inside the Buc-ees made it online.

Keith Urban Has No Plan When It Comes To Recording
In the video, Urban is shown preparing BBQ for those attending his concert. With the video making its rounds on the internet, fans loved the idea of being served by the country singer. “I would lose my freaking mind if I walked into a Bucees and Keith Urban was there. Lord have mercy!” Another comment included, “Years ago….went to a concert and had meet and greet tickets, there was a whole bbq ahead of time and he talked with everyone and played acoustic versions of his songs. Super down to earth and nice guy.”
As mentioned, Urban currently prepares for the release of his new album, High. Already sharing songs like “Heart Like a Hometown” and “Go Home W U” featuring Lainey Wilson, Urban once opened up about his writing process and the freedom he brought with him. He told Music Row, “I’ve never had a theme or a concept for an album ever. Every album I’ve ever made has been very loose in a lot of ways. Dann Huff, who’s made so many of them with me, would testify that we may have a plan to record a song one day and I might get to the session and say, ‘I’m not really in the mood for this song. I feel like this one might be better.’”
Letting the music do the talking, Urban appears to have mastered the writing process as the country singer holds four Grammy awards.
