Throughout the early 2000s, Kacey Musgraves looked to break into the music industry when she released three solo albums. She even appeared on the USA Network show Nashville Star during the fifth season. Although she ended her run on the show in seventh place, that didn’t remotely stop her from making a career on stage. And that dream eventually became a reality when she won a Grammy Award for her album Same Trailer Different Park. With her career still expanding, Musgraves recently channeled the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders when dancing to AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck.”

Since “Thunderstruck” hit the airwaves, the song became somewhat of an anthem for the iconic band. And over the decades, the group watched the song take on a life of its own. Landing in movies, videos, and all over the internet, the cheerleaders for the Dallas Cowboys fashioned a special routine from the song. With the routine gaining praise and creating a trend on social media, Musgraves decided to showcase her moves. And not having pom poms, the singer decided to use potato chip bags.
With the video gaining over 70,000 likes, fans offered their opinion on the dance, but nothing compared to the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Director Kelli Finglass’s comments. Wanting to know what she thought of the routine, Musgraves wanted her honesty. And not holding back, Finglass said, “If you replace the chips with poms and work a little bit on those kicks, you’re closer to Game Day! We already know how GREAT you look in the DCC uniform!”

Kacey Musgraves Once Honored Dallas Cowboys During Halloween
While joining the growing trend, Musgraves showcased her love for the Dallas Cowboy with more than a video. Back in 2019, the country star decided to dress as one of the cheerleaders for Halloween.
Yet again, the post climbed over 280,000 likes as fans gushed over the costume. Looking the part, comments included, “You are the greatest of all Cowboy cheerleaders.” And another person focused on the singer’s attention to detail, especially the vintage look. “Love it!!! Love your vintage vibes even your band in their matching suits.”
