Watch Jason Aldean Surprise Military Family With the Heartwarming Return of Their Deployed Dad

With a career spanning over two decades, Jason Aldean is an expert when it comes to entertaining a crowd and capturing the spirit of country music. Not afraid to share his opinion in person or in music, the singer produced several hit songs and caused more than enough controversy. But recently, Aldean decided to share the spotlight with one military family who wanted nothing more than their dad to come home. Always willing to help out a fan, Aldean had a special surprise for the family. 

Currently helming his Highway Desperado Tour, Aldean met the Darling family. For First Class Petty Officer Blake Darling, the thought of returning to his family was always at the forefront of his mind while on deployment. And while the Darling family believed they were just seeing Aldean in concert, the family received shock when the country singer asked the children, “We thought we’d give you a little surprise today, if that’s cool with you guys. Can we do that?” Blake then appeared from behind the stage, embracing his children. 

Sharing the video online, Aldean captioned the post, writing, “After a 10 month deployment, First Class Petty Officer Blake Darling is back home with his family! Thanks to his wife Brittney for letting us be in on the surprise. Welcome home!”

The Military Holds Special Meaning To Jason Aldean

Fans shared their love over the video, writing, “Sooooo awesome to be there to witness this and your show!! I’ve seen your show so many times!! You are one of my top 2 favorites to see, (your buddy Luke is the other one) but this was my first VIP Show with you!!” Another person added, “You are a stand-up guy, Jason. Thanks for doing that for one of our soldiers. I know it means a lot to the family and our military.  Much respect to them and to you.”

Although having an appreciation for service members, the military runs deep in the Aldean family. The singer’s father and grandfather both served. Wanting to remember their sacrifice, Aldean always finds ways to celebrate their commitment and selflessness.
