On Sunday (December 8), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced off against the Las Vegas Raiders at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. While many fans tuned in to watch the gridiron action, others only needed to see the game’s opening moments. The Voice champion Huntley took the field to sing the national anthem to get things started.

Yesterday (December 9), Huntley took to social media to share a video of his performance. “What a blessing to sing our nation’s anthem. Thank you so much for having me, Buccaneers,” he wrote in the post’s caption.
Fans took to the comments of the post to let him know how he did. “Besides Chris Stapleton, this was probably one of the best if not close 1st singing our national anthem. Excellent job, Huntley,” one fan wrote, punctuating their message with a pair of flame emojis.
“Can’t believe I missed this yesterday,” another commented. “I would have gone to the game if I knew you were going to be there. Makes me sad,” they added.
“You absolutely killed that performance and the national anthem is not easy to sing, my dude!! Way to go! Clapping from home, cheering from afar,” another fan said.
This Wasn’t Huntley’s First National Anthem Performance
Huntley is acutely aware of how difficult the national anthem is to sing. Since taking home the big win on The Voice, he has appeared at several sporting events to deliver a rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner.”
He performed the national anthem for the first time last year during the December 23 matchup between the Bills and the Chargers. His second national anthem performance came when he sang before the playoff game between the Buccaneers and the Eagles earlier this year.
“If you know me, you know my whole life I’ve been obsessed with two things, one being music and the other is my love for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,” he wrote on social media ahead of the game. “I found out that I’ll be singing the national anthem for PrimeTime Football on Monday night for the wildcard game between the Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles. God is so good,” he added.
Huntley will perform on tonight’s finale episode of The Voice. However, he likely won’t be singing the national anthem.
