Cody Johnson has had many memorable moments over the last few years. He has won awards, launched singles to the top of the country charts, performed at awards shows, and toured the country. Over the weekend, CoJo performed his first-ever sold-out headlining stadium show. The memorable show took place at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Not much is known about the couple who got engaged at Johnson’s show over the weekend. Fortunately, though, fans in the audience around them captured the big moment. One shared the short clip on social media. “When the guy in front of you tells everyone he is proposing while his girlfriend was in the bathroom you just video it all! So fun!” the poster wrote in the video’s caption. Watch the magic moment happen below.

In the video, the man turns his lady around as if he’s showing her something. She looks puzzled as she tries to figure out why he turned her around. Then, he touches her arm and she turns to find him on one knee with his hat off holding a ring. While it’s impossible to hear the exchange between the couple it’s clear that she said yes. One unseen CoJo fan summed things up perfectly, yelling, “Heck yeah, pal!” to congratulate him on his upcoming wedding.
Cody Johnson Provided the Perfect Proposal Soundtrack
Cody Johnson has a few rock-solid love songs in his catalog. However, “The Painter” might be the best one to use as a soundtrack to pop the question. Written by Benjy Davis, Kat Higgins, and Ryan Larkins, the song doesn’t so much tell a love story. Instead, it explains what happens to one’s life when they find “the one.” The chorus distills what makes it the perfect proposal song with lines like With every wall I built, she saw a canvas. / I thank God for how He made her. / My life was black and white but she’s the painter.
