Got some time on your hands this week?

For one week only, you can watch the new Arcade Fire DVD, Miroir Noir, for free on Pitchfork.tv The 70 minute documentary follows the Canadian indie rockers as they record Neon Bible, the followup to their breakthrough debut album, Funeral, and also captures some heady live performances from the subsequent tour.  It was directed by Arcade Fire and Vincent Morisset, the band’s artistic director, and shot by Vincent Moon, who profiled the National in 2008’s A Skin, A Night.

“There’s a lot of home movies from when we were making the record,” says Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler. “The parts, like, in the Rolling Stone documentaries, the only parts that I really like are the parts where you see a microphone in the background, and you’re like “Ooh, that’s where the microphone was.” I’m kind of a nerd in that way, I guess. Those are the only moments I ever really find exciting.”

You can also just buy the thing when it hits stores April 7. The limited edition version features bonus material that includes live performances on “Friday Night With Jonathon Ross”, “Saturday Night Live”, and “At The BBC”.

The Arcade Fire’s song “Wake Up” plays a prominent role in the trailer for Where The Wild Things Are.
