Did you make it out to Lexington, Massachusetts, to see Dresden Dolls singer and solo artist Amanda Palmer’s high school play based on indie rockers Neutral Milk Hotel’s seminal In the Aeroplane Over the Sea last week? Palmer helped the Lexington high school drama students, who wrote and starred in the play, put on the production. The classes’ drama teacher, Steven Bogart, mentored Palmer when she was a student there, sixteen years prior.

“It’s been a wild ride out here in suburbia as we attempt to create a piece of theater about the holocaust, fear, art and salvation,” Palmer wrote in an e-mail message. “Simple, yes?”
