We first met Canadian rockers Yukon Blonde last year, when they stopped by our office for a live session. Since then, they’ve been name-dropped on How I Met Your Mother, been called “a breath of fresh air” by USA Today, and criss-crossed the country touring behind their acclaimed album Tiger Talk.

Check out the video for the singalong-worthy “My Girl” below. While it sounds nothing like the Temptations track we all know and love, it’s nearly as catchy.

“The video for My Girl takes on a unique and innovative concept that completely juxtapositions the upbeat, loving lyrics that it’s paired to,” says director Kelsey Larkin. “The concept with this video was to create a short film in a sense, with ‘My Girl’ being its soundtrack.

“With long, drawn out and uncomfortable camera movements, we see inside the head space of a broken girl as she tries to find normalcy through a breakup, only to witness her undoing over the course of an evening — one in which many can relate to.
