Artist: Nashville-based singer-songwriter Otis Gibbs
Song: “Ghosts of our Fathers,” from Souvenirs Of A Misspent Youth, out August 19
Fun Fact: British rocker Brilly Bragg recently listed Gibb’s song ‘The People’s Day” among the “Top Five Songs with Something To Say” in a Wall Street Journal article.
Songwriter Says: “My Dad rode a Harley Davidson chopper, listened to Jerry Lee Lewis and took absolutely no shit from anyone. Every friend I’ve ever had would pull me aside and tell me how cool my dad was (and they were right). There wasn’t a single moment of my childhood that I didn’t feel protected and loved. The greatest lessons I learned from my father came when he didn’t even know I was watching. This song is inspired by memories of those moments. Happy Father’s Day.”
