Kim Talon of JAN describes the moody indie rock ballad “All Of These Igloos” as a “break up lullaby.” Talon, best known as one half of L.A. art-rockers Eagle and Talon, released the debut album from her new side project JAN last month (buy it here.)

“This is a song I wrote about singer/songwriter Charlie Wadhams,” Talon tells us. “It is a break up lullaby inspired by the imagery of the Canadian North, where I am from. The video is directed by the immensely talented Matthew Robinson, and I was thrilled to work with avant dancer/choreographer Jasmine Albuquerque. This was my first foray into modern dance and Jasmine was a great teacher. ‘All Of These Igloos’ is a song about self sabotage, heartbreak and isolation.”
