Songwriter Says: “”If I’m Taken” was a song we actually sat down and wrote together – face to face – in our living room one evening. Andrea started playing a piano part that sounded like an old music box, so that kind of spawned the idea to give the song a sweet, almost child-like “bedtime prayer” feel to it. I always thought of the lyrics as if they were a “last love letter” – something you would find maybe after your loved one has pasted on. We thought it was a different approach to a love song that we hadn’t really heard before.”
