With David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” announcing their arrival, Irish rockers U2 brought their futuristic 360 tour to Chicago on Saturday. The massive alien-like stage construction, dubbed “The Claw,” sits over a circular stage that is designed to allow the band to interact with all sides of the stadium.

U2 didn’t shy away from playing tracks from their new album, No Line On The Horizon. They opened the evening with “Breathe,” followed by “No Line On The Horizon,” “Get On Your Boots,” “Magnificent,” an opted to end the evening with “Moment of Surrender.”

According to a Rolling Stone review, the band has decided to do things differently this time out, jettisoning longtime live staples like “Bullet the Bullet Sky,” “New Years Day” and “I Will Follow”, “Mysterious Ways” and “Until the End of the World” from their set list.

“That left room for not only the majority of the new disc, but rarities like the title track to 1984’s The Unforgettable Fire (not played stateside since 1987) and “Ultraviolet (Light My Way),” which hasn’t been performed since Zoo TV in 1993.”
