For the first time since 2019, Tyler, The Creator’s Los Angeles-based music festival Camp Flog Gnaw is back. Beloved for booking acts in the hip-hop, alternative, R&B, and indie scenes, Camp Flog Gnaw has seen epic performances in its past, such as Kanye West, Kid Cudi and Kids See Ghosts in 2018 and Solange in 2019. For 2023, though, Tyler’s lineup reveal came one by one in an intriguing way on Friday (August 18).

At 1 pm ET today, Tyler tweeted out the link to the Camp Flog Gnaw website. Upon opening the link, fans were taken to a Twitch livestream of a few men painting a mural of the Camp Flog Gnaw lineup, writing the artists’ names one at a time with the headliners coming last. When completed, SZA, Tyler, and “The Hillbillies” were shown as the three main acts for this year’s fest, set to take place on November 11-12 at Dodger Stadium in L.A. “The Hillbillies” refers to the duo of Kendrick Lamar and his cousin Baby Keem, who toured together in 2022 for Lamar’s Big Steppers Tour and later teased the return of Camp Flog Gnaw in the music video for their “The Hillbillies” joint single earlier this year.

Along with the trio of aforementioned headliners, thrilling names like Dominic Fike, Syd of The Internet, Kali Uchis, PinkPantheress, Clipse, Ice Spice, Lil Yachty, and more all appear on the lineup. Tickets for the weekend have all been sold out, but waitlists have been made available on the Camp Flog Gnaw site for folks to buy additional passes added later on.
Camp Flog Gnaw will come just months after the release of Tyler’s Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale, the deluxe version of his 2021 studio album that took home the 2022 Grammy for Rap Album of the Year. Adding eight new songs to the track list, including features from A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples, and more, The Estate Sale further enhanced the Call Me If You Get Lost experience with more intensely rapped, introspective cuts.
