Fans of Tyler Childers are waiting to find out what the singer-songwriter has up his sleeve. The Kentucky native made a surprise return to social media this week, sharing two mysterious video clips. The teaser videos were shared on Instagram this week, marking his first new content on the platform since September 2022.

In the first clip, soft piano plays as Childers is seen examining a plow lying in the grass of a field covered with an orange haze. The 32-year-old talent, clad in denim overalls, is then seen standing with his arms clasped behind him for two quick seconds before the video suddenly cuts off. A few hours later, Childers shared another short video segment, which shows a group of men who appear to be miners walking into a cave-like structure.
Comments were turned off on the uncaptioned posts, adding even more mystery by leaving fans unable to share their theories or responses.

It’s unclear what exactly the two videos are teasing, but many fans speculate that Childers is gearing up to share his next batch of music. It would be his first release since his 2022 gospel-centered triple album, Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?, which featured accompaniment from Childers’ longtime touring band, The Food Stamps.
A sprinkling of teaser videos was also posted on Childers’ social pages in the days leading up to his last album announcement, so details of his latest work will likely be shared sooner rather than later.
Until then, fans can catch Childers out on the road for a string of largely sold-out shows scheduled across the U.S. through the end of September. He’ll be joined by Margo Price, Wynonna Judd, Elle King, S.G. Goodman, Abby Hamilton, and The Travelin’ McCourys on select dates of his headlining tour.
