Travis Scott Arrested After Getting Into Fight With Bodyguard While Attending Paris Olympics

Embracing the music industry, Travis Scott not only released four studio albums but he is also an accomplished record producer and songwriter. Selling nearly 50 million albums in the U.S. alone, the rapper gained massive success as he collaborated with brands like Nike, McDonald’s, and Dior. While loving his time in the spotlight, the rapper has found himself in trouble with the law on numerous occasions. In June, police arrested Scott in Miami Beach for disorderly intoxication and trespassing. And now, just two months later, he found himself once again on the wrong side of the law when officers arrested him at a five-star hotel in Paris after getting into a first with his bodyguard.

While at the George V Hotel, Scott and his bodyguard got into an altercation that eventually turned into fighting. Hoping to calm the situation, a security guard intervened only for Scott to attack him. The Paris prosecutor’s officer released a statement about the arrest, writing, “I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, shortly after 5 a.m., the police were called to the Georges V Hotel and arrested the man nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard.” The officer added, “The latter had himself intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The 1st judicial police district was seized of the investigation by the Paris prosecutor’s office.”

Travis Scott Capitalized Off Of His Miami Arrest

Just a day before his arrest, Scott, like millions around the world, enjoyed time watching the 2024 Paris Olympics. He cheered on the Men’s USA basketball team as they hoped to gain a spot in the gold medal match. Having to beat Serbia at the Bercy Arena, team USA edged out the competition, winning 95-91.

As for Scott’s recent troubles with law enforcement, his attorney, Bradford Cohen, suggested his Miami arrest was nothing more than a misunderstanding. “Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding. There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution.” Once released, Scott decided to capitalize on the incident as he released merchandise with his mug shot.
