Just when you think you know all the answers, he changes the questions. Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has abandoned the name of his new side project with Flea and producer Nigel Godrich, changing it from Thom Yorke ???? to Atoms for Peace. The new moniker stems from the Eraser track (Yorke’s 2006 solo album) of the same name.
Was it because the band Question Mark and the Mysterians threatened to sue? According to a written missive from Yorke on Deadairspace, the name change just “seemed bleedin’ obvious.” Sounds good to us.
Atoms for Peace will tour the States in April with Flying Lotus, and will perform at this year’s Coachella Festival in Indio, California.
