No one wants to hear those fateful words from their doctor: you have cancer.

It’s the phrase that changes lives and families forever. So when the Outdoor Channel’s Tiffany Lakosky of “The Crush With Lee & Tiffany” received her diagnosis, she knew she had to fight.
Tiffany was diagnosed with carcinosarcoma, a rare form of uterine cancer, shortly after her second baby was born in early summer. Though her type of cancer is rare, it’s treatable.

She began aggressively treating it and, in August, got some great news: She was cancer free.
The best part of the story is in the message from her husband and co-host Lee. As we previously reported, when he heard her cancer news he asked his wife, “Tiffany, are you a caribou or an elk?”
She was understandably confused.
He went on to tell her, “You can hit a caribou in the leg and he will lay down with no will to live.” The two know this from hunting together. “You can hit an elk perfectly behind the shoulder and double lung him and he will run for miles; they are a strong animal with an amazing will to live. So which are you? A caribou or an elk?”
Tiffany said in an instant she knew: “I am an elk.”
She is a fighter, and she got to make that declaration again in a brand new post updating us on her cancer journey.
It’s such great news, y’all.
She captioned the photo, “Just had my recent bloodwork checkup and it’s at 0 again! Whoop, whoop! Had to post a celebration selfie with Dr. Goodheart as between him, my family, friends and God, my life was saved.”

Tiffany’s story is so inspiring. We are so thrilled for her and the entire family. Now that she’s won her battle, she’s focused on helping others fight. The wife and mom of two has a line of “I am an Elk” leggings available for purchase, and all proceeds benefit cancer research.
