“This Is So Wrong”: Fan Puts Hands on Kacey Musgraves at Tampa Concert

With over two decades worth of experience in the music industry, Kacey Musgraves knows how to work a crowd. The Grammy winner spent years releasing songs like “Butterflies” and performing all across the country. And given her popularity, those concerts come packed with fans. While thrilled about what she accomplished on and off the stage, Musgraves recently showcased the downside of fame when a fan yanked her while she performed.

Although having an entire stage to perform, some artists like to take a moment and walk among the fans. For some, it’s a way of saying thank you for coming. For others, it’s to share a deep connection with the crowd. But no matter what, Musgraves didn’t hide her feelings when she found herself at the mercy of a fan.

The incident happened while she performed at the Amalie Arena in Tampa. While the crowd appeared to love the performance, one fan took it upon herself to yank the singer. Even the security guard stepped in, somewhat surprised by the fan. As for Musgraves, she walked off, shaking her head over the situation. And the fan didn’t seem to notice as she smiled the entire time.

Kacey Musgraves Values Her Privacy

The good news, security supposedly found the individual and escorted them out. One Twitter user wrote, “Yeah the person that posted the video said on TT that the girl and another person kinda tried to hide, but security searched for them and kicked them out, apparently they were like making people uncomfortable before that happened.”

While the show must go on, Musgraves has consistently discussed how much she values her privacy and space. When promoting her new album, Deeper Well, she said, “I really enjoy and revere my privacy and having something just for me and my personal life. I’m really kind of a homebody.” Musgraves added, “And as you get ready to release a project, this tsunami of madness is coming to work me. And you’re going to be very public-facing again. And that can be — that’s kind of hard for me sometimes.”
