Thieves Steal The Digs’ Van, Gear In Chicago

Hey, douchebags: stop stealing people’s vans! New York City indie rockers The Dig are the latest act to have a van full of musical equipment stolen — it happened last in Chicago. The van was parked on N. Leavitt St. and W. Evergreen Avenue, in the Wicker Park neighborhood (if you have any info, e-mail the band at thedigmusic@gmail.com).

The Dig have been on the road for much of the past year, touring behind their critically-acclaimed debut album Electric Toys. Their current tour mates, Dashboard Confessional, are lending them their own gear for the remainder of the tour.

Here’s hoping for a miraculous recovery, a la Phospherescent.
