‘The Voice’ Winner Huntley Gets One-Upped by His Daughter’s Powerhouse Vocals in Family Sing-off

Huntley’s powerful audition of the Black Crowes’ “She Talks To Angels” earned a four-chair turn during blind auditions on season 25 of The Voice. Faced with a tough decision, the 34-year-old Virginia blues-rocker enlisted the help of his young daughter, Stella. Joining her father on stage, Stella confidently chose Niall Horan as his coach. It would prove to be a $100,000 decision two months later, when viewers crowned Huntley as the season 25 winner of The Voice. It seems as though Huntley is still accepting career advice from Stella—and who can blame him?

Huntley Gets Some Singing Pointers

Huntley has enjoyed a full schedule since winning The Voice. He has performed the national anthem at two NFL games and honored soldiers fighting overseas. Still, the father of two also carves out time to spend with his children. In an Instagram video posted Monday (July 14), Huntley casually belts Bishop Briggs’ 2016 hit “River” as he rifles through his kitchen cabinets.

The Voice champion barely delivers one lyric before Stella enters the room. “No, not like that. Dad, it’s not like that,” the little girl says. With a brisk clap of her hands, she says, “It’s like this,” before launching into her own rendition of the song.

And all we can say is, Huntley is fortunate that Stella is still too young to audition for The Voice. Vocal talent clearly runs in the family, and the young girl certainly gave her dad a run for his money. And just when you think the moment can’t get any cuter, Huntley and Stella share an adorable handshake.

“What a voice,” one Instagram user commented. “Wonder who she got that from?? hmmm.”

Another fan chimed in, “Stella girl can ‘sang’, just like her Daddy! She needs to do a duet with you @huntleymusic ! I hear a successful musical future in her voice!”

Huntley Makes Big Career Moves Post-‘The Voice’

Following his impressive victory on The Voice, an elated Huntley declared he was “hungry” to play in arenas all over the world.” And recently, the Florida native took major strides toward that goal when he signed with music executive Edward Crowe, who manages rapper Yelawolf.

“Beyond his vast knowledge of literally every facet of the industry, after the first moment we spoke I knew we were on the same frequency,” Huntley wrote on Instagram of Crowe. “Now who’s ready for some music????”
