Although singers use an entire studio to make a single song sound perfect, HaVon only needed a video camera. Posting a video to his Instagram page, the singer showcased his stunning talent when he decided to cover the hit song “A Song for You” with a bit of an impromptu performance. Originally released back in 1971 thanks to soul singer Hathaway, HaVon decided to pour his heart and soul into the performance. And again, with only a chair and camera, the singer proved yet again why he won The Voice

Captioning the video “I randomly sing this song all the time” it appears HaVon has a habit of breaking out the Hathaway classic readily.

Asher HaVon Thankful He Gave His Voice Another Chance

Looking at the comments, fans gushed over the performance, writing, “I fell in love w u at first sight on the Voice – I turned to my husband and said – he is the winner. You are so beautiful to me. The Voice of our passion, longing, struggle, love, pain and joy. So grateful to know and hear your presence in this world.” Another person added, “There you go…I missed you singing. You don’t even need an instrument to get your message to our hearts. Continue to be a proud “mama” (there must be lots of them out there but your real mom must be over joyful and thankful to God for you.”

Again, HaVon once decided to explore other avenues outside of singing. Believing his time in the spotlight passed, he revealed to Parade why he decided to audition for The Voice. “I just believed that my gift deserved a chance. Even though I had given up on myself— I believe myself and my gift are two different things—so, for whatever it was worth, I wanted to give my gift a chance. I was willing to move out of the way and do that and I’m so glad I did.”
