Robert Plant is featured in a new ad for Italy’s Trenitalia rail service and its Frecciarossa high-speed trains. The commercial, which you can watch on YouTube, features footage the legendary Led Zeppelin singer at a terminal in Rome, traveling on a train, and performing in concert with his acoustic band, Saving Grace.

The ad also includes clips of Plant and Saving Grace vocalist Suzy Dian having coffee at the first-class Freccia Lounge, and chatting while traveling in one of Frecciarossa’s Executive Class train cars. The video is soundtracked by Saving Grace’s cover of the 2005 Low tune “Everybody’s Song.”
According to an article posted on Classic Rock’s website, the commercial captures Plant while journeying from the cities if Naples and Florence on Frecciarossa, which reaches a speed of 186 miles per hour. Classic Rock reports that ad was filmed in October, while Saving Grace was touring Italy.
The video features the caption, “Benvenuto a bordo, Robert Plant! (Welcome aboard, Robert Plant!)” It’s also accompanied by a note in Italian that translates to “When a rock legend chooses Frecciarossa to reach his concerts, the journey becomes music. Incidentally, Frecciarossa means “Red Arrow.”
About Robert Plant and Saving Grace’s Tour Plans
Saving Grace played an 11-date tour of Italy in October, followed by concerts in Switzerland, Belgium, and France. The band then kicked off a brief run of U.K. dates on November 5. The 2024 trek features three more shows, scheduled for November 6 in Stockton-on-Tees, November 23 in Woking, and November 24 in Southend-on-Sea.
Plant and the group also have a spring 2025 European tour lined up. So far, 12 concerts have been confirmed for the outing, which begins May 3 in Brussels, Belgium, and is mapped out through a May 23 performance in Vilnius, Lithuania. The trek also will visit the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Estonia.
Saving Grace’s concerts generally feature a mix of traditional songs, eclectic cover tunes, and versions of songs by Led Zeppelin and from Plant’s solo career.

Plant’s most recent North American shows took place this summer as part of his and Alison Krauss’ 2024 Can’t Let Go Tour. That trek wrapped up on September 1 in Vail, Colorado.
