Raul Malo Updates Fans On Ongoing Chemo Treatments

Outside of celebrating his birthday, Malo took a moment to update fans about his chemo treatment and health. Posting a picture of himself smiling during chemo treatment, the singer wrote, “First of all thank you for all the encouraging words and kind messages that have come my way. You all have made me feel stronger than ever in spite of my weakened state. The love and compassion shown to me in the last month has not only been touching, it has been beautifully overwhelming. I thank you and my family thanks you.”

Sharing how the doctors feel about his ongoing treatment, Malo continued, “Doctors are pleased with my progress. All the bloodwork and health signs are pointing in the right direction. The only side effect this week was just an overwhelming sensation to lay down and do nothing. Which is just about impossible for me but I’m managing…lol. Today on Saturday I’m feeling really good and I’m probably going to take my dogs for a walk, play some guitar, etc…Thank you all. And remember to get yourself checked out by your doctor.”

While battling cancer, Malo remains in high spirits as he used his post to not only update fans but make sure they take their health seriously.
