Billboard is reporting this week that pop diva Mariah Carey will surpass Elvis Presley on the all-time list of “No. 1s in the Rock Era” with her newest single, “Touch My Body.” The chart-topper, her 18th, lands her in second place on the list, behind only The Beatles. And with the Fab Four maxing out at 20 No. 1s, Carey seems poised to take their spot on the list—possibly even this year.

Depressed yet? There’s more. Billboard also tells us that Madonna will surpass Presley’s top spot on the list of artists with the most Top 10s in the rock era this week. “4 Minutes,” which features Justin Timberlake, will be the Material Girl’s 37th track to crack the Top 10 in her 26-year career.

The one-two punches on the King came in no small part due to the tracks’ unprecedented performances in download sales. Both scored more than 200,000 digital downloads this week—the first time two songs have done so since Nielsen began tracking online sales.
