On Thursday (June 1), the Country Music Association announced that country legends Tanya Tucker, Jo Dee Messina, Josh Turner and Tracy Lawrence will all perform at Nissan Stadium throughout the four-day festival. The announcement came one week before CMA Fest kicks off in Nashville on Thursday (June 8).
Messina will perform on opening night, followed by Tucker on Friday (June 9), Lawrence on Saturday (June 10) and Turner will help close out the festival on Sunday (June 11). King Calaway will open the event by singing the national anthem at Nissan on June 8.
Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Ashley McBryde are among the other country superstars who will perform at the nightly shows at Nissan Stadium. There will also be several other stages set up around downtown Nashville during the day. The Chevy Riverfront Stage will feature performances by Priscilla Block, Megan Moroney, Jackson Dean, BRELAND, Morgan Evans, Jameson Rodgers, Matt Stell and more. Ascend Amphitheater sees Elvie Shane, The Cadillac Three, Tenille Townes, Randy Rogers Band and Boy Named Banjo performing on Friday night.
“We are so excited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of CMA Fest this year!” CMA CEO Sarah Trahern says in a press release. “A lot has changed since our early days of Fan Fair, but all these years later, the heart of the festival remains that special connection between the fans and the artists. We are truly grateful to everyone who has supported us throughout the years, and we look forward to celebrating this milestone with all of our attendees in June.”
The outdoor daytime stages are free and open to the public. Tickets for the Nissan shows are available HERE. A portion of the proceeds benefits CMA Foundation, the philanthropic branch of CMA that supports music education across the country.
