The Tallest Man on Earth, the nom de band of Kristian Matsson, is set to release Dark Bird Is Home on May 12th via Dead Oceans Records. While keeping in touch with his folky origins, Matsson also makes use of keyboard and synthesizers on this new release. The 10-track album is one of his more intimate works. “While Dark Bird is The Tallest Man at his most personal and direct, deeper and darker than ever at times, it’s also an album with strokes of whimsy and the scent of new beginnings — which feels fresh for The Tallest Man on Earth, and well timed,” Dead Oceans said in a statement.
