Acolytes of Michael Stipe, today is your big day. The good folks at NPR Music are streaming Collapse Into Now, which they’re calling “the band’s most rewarding album in 15 years,” in it’s entirety, before the March 8 release date.

Special guests on the album include Patti Smith and Eddie Vedder, and Peaches. Bassist Mike Mills is calling it their best album since Out Of Time.

Is the praise part of the usual release date hyperbole, or is actually true that R.E.M. have returned to form? Stream the album here, and let us know how your thoughts on Collapse Into Now in the comments.
