San Francisco sextet The Stone Foxes have a pretty simple mission: to create earth-shattering rock and roll. As they put it, “We’re six dudes who believe rock n roll can move mountains, and we’re gonna play it until we move one.” On their latest album Twelve Spells, the guys seek to do exactly that.

The band’s fourth studio album, Twelve Spells sees the Stone Foxes at their garage-iest, sure, but also at their most serious, with songs tackling topics like income inequality, the Occupy movement and singer/drummer Shannon Koehler’s ten heart surgeries. Aided by new members Vince Dewald and Ben Andrews, Twelve Spells is the next step in a long line of accomplishments for the band, including opening slots for acts like The Black Keys and ZZ Top.
Stream an exclusive premiere of Twelve Spells below, and pick up a copy when the album releases tomorrow, September 4.
