The EP: The live King City Sessions, out 2/11 (available here)
Fun Fact: The EP also features a cover of Blind Melons’ “Change” and Traveling Wilburys’ “End Of The Line”
Fall In Love With: The the killer, autobiographical opening track “Lagrange,” a song about the wayward musician’s life. “Plan on doing doubles ’til you die/ at the diner in LaGrange.”
Songwriter Says: “We really just wanted to do something different for this show,” frontman Matt Megrue tells us. “We knew we would be documenting the night through video and audio, so we wanted to create a live show and experience that you wouldn’t get from us ever again . . .or at least not for a very long time. We wanted to play some songs that we hardly ever play live, dig some stuff out of the vault, and even try some new material and see how they hold up in a more, acoustic-style setting. We were having so much fun that night, and I think that comes through on the record.”
