On Friday, July 12 Stevie Nicks will take the stage at London’s Hyde Park as part of the annual British Summer Time (BST) concert series at the outdoor venue. Nicks will pay tribute to Tom Petty, with whom she duetted during the 2017 concert series before his death, additionally the last time she saw him. She will perform their 1981 song “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” in honor of Petty.

Additionally, Nicks will honor her friend and former bandmate Christine McVie, who died in 2022. She will allegedly project a slideshow of photos and moments of herself with McVie during her performance of “Landslide,” according to a report from Music News.
Stevie Nicks will also have many special guests during her set at Hyde Park. These include Brandi Carlile, Anna Calvi, Paris Paloma, Baby Queen, Nina Nesbitt, Siobhan Winifred, Catty, Talia Rae, Stevie Bill, and Nina Versyp.
Nicks is currently on her Live in Concert Tour in the U.K. and Europe, where she recently had to postpone two shows due to a leg injury. According to a statement from the Glasgow venue, Nicks must undergo a minor surgery that will require a few days of recovery. Therefore, fans should hold onto their tickets, as the dates will be rescheduled.

Stevie Nicks Recently Expressed Regret At Not Being Able to Say Goodbye to Christine McVie
It is significant for Stevie Nicks to honor her friend Christine McVie during the London show, because she previously expressed her sadness at not being able to say goodbye to McVie before she passed away. In an interview with Mojo in June, Nicks reflected on McVie’s death and whether or not Fleetwood Mac could ever get back together without her.
“It was all stunningly strange, because there wasn’t any lead up to it,” said Nicks. “We got a call, and I was going to rent a plane and go see her, but her family said, ‘Don’t come, because she may not be here tomorrow.’ And the next day, she passed away.”
She continued, sharing that she wanted to sit by her bed and sing to her, joking, “which definitely would have made her pass away faster.” She added, somberly, “But I needed to be with her. And I didn’t get to do that. So that was very hard for me. I didn’t get to say goodbye.”
On whether or not Fleetwood Mac could return, Nicks said, “When Christine died, I felt like you can’t replace her. You just can’t. Without her, what is it? You know what I mean? There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”
