Song Premiere: Carrie Elkin & Danny Schmidt, “Two White Clouds” & “Echo In The Hills”

The Artists: Formerly solo songwriters, Carrie Elkin & Danny Schmidt are now engaged and have created a duet project.
The Songs: “Two White Clouds” and “Echo In The Hills,” from their upcoming album For Keeps, out May 13th on Red House Records. The couple trade off vocals for each song on the album, so you can hear Schmidt on the first and Elkin on the other.
Fun Fact: Schmidt’s proposal to Elkin happened at last year’s SXSW.
Songwriter Says:“‘Two White Clouds’ is a fertility blessing, a parable about where new life comes from, and about the miracle of creation,” says Danny Schmidt. “‘Echo In The Hills’ is a vibey, atmospheric play on the Echo & Narcissus mythology,” adds Elkin, “a song about finding and keeping one’s own sense of self and identity in the process of coming together with another strong individual.”
