Songwriter Says: “Maps is about the collapse of the housing market, the displacement of thousand of Americans and the broken American dream. I have friends and family that lost their homes or are sitting on underwater mortgages.  I remember when I was very young my parents lost their home and we had to move across the country to live with my aunt. I can personally empathize with that loss.”
