On June 5, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Marc Scibilia will release his self-titled EP, which he’s been “locked away for the last two years recording.” Here’s a preview — the folksy, plaintive “Better Man,”which was born 22 years after he was.
“I wrote ‘Better Man’ on the night before my 22nd birthday in a hotel room in Atlanta,” Scibilia tells American Songwriter. “I kept hearing these lyrics run through my head, ‘I’m a small man, next to a tall man, but baby I’m all man, when I’m with you.’ I turned 22 with no company, it felt good to write that song, that night.”
With songs this good, Siblia won’t be lacking for company much longer.
