The Artist: JACKOPIERCE, a long-standing rock duo from Dallas, Texas with a knack for harmonies.
The Song: “This Is Our Time,” from their upcoming album Live 25, out April 29.
Fun Fact: The album is a live recording of the band’s 25th anniversary show at the gorgeous Winspear Opera House in Dallas.
Songwriter Says: “Jack [O’Neill] lives in New York and I live in Dallas so Nashville has become our ‘middle ground’ for songwriting,” says Cary Pierce. “Our friend had this infectious banjo driven melody playing when we got to his studio and we just started writing our story. It was probably the most fun we’ve ever had writing together and anytime you can get the word ‘giraffe’ in a song it’s a great day of songwriting in my book.”
