A fiery rock vocalist born to jazz-singing parents, Danielia Cotton has made a name for herself as an artist to watch. Cotton shows off her chops on the bluesy “Watch Me Bleed,” from her upcoming album The Gun In Your Hand, due this September. The album was partly inspired by the grief of losing her twins after five months of pregnancy, and the effect it had on on her marriage.
“I co-wrote ‘Watch Me Bleed’ with Anthony Krizan, formerly of The Spin Doctors,” Cotton tells American Songwriter. “It’s basically about how we tend to sometimes punish those we love. It’s also about knowing when to let someone go and that can apply to all types of relationships.”
