Globe-trotting songwriter Sawyer Gebauer, who performs as Catch Prichard, has seen a lot in his twenty-something years: after leaving Wisconsin at 19, he moved around Europe, living in Sweden and Berlin before heading back to the States. Now, after several years fronting Brittsommar, he’s getting ready to release his first solo project, a 5-song EP called Eskota, which he recorded in an abandoned grocery store in Eskota, TX.

“As the Eskota sessions came to a close with four completed tracks, I spontaneously recorded one final song, ‘Howl,’” Prichard says of the EP’s second single. “Within it, you can hear the Texas night, a creaking chair, and the rhythmic tapping of boots.”
