Country singer-songwriter Ashley Monroe unveiled her soft and swoon-worthy ballad “Has Anybody Ever Told You” at the Grand Ole Opry on April 29th. With earnest lyrics and a Dolly Parton-style vocal, “Has Anybody Ever Told You” heralds a lot of promise for her new album, which will follow on the heels of 2013’s critically-acclaimed Like a Rose.

“Has Anybody Ever Told you” is a mellow and heartfelt melody reminiscent of country ballads of yore, but Monroe delivers the song with a refreshing and honest performance that makes the tune feel entirely fresh.
