Season 26 of The Voice is in full swing, kicking off Battle Rounds tonight (Monday, Oct. 21.) Coaches Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani have filled their teams and now must begin whittling down this year’s talent pool. And newcomer Snoop Dogg may have a predicament on his hands after both Christina Eagle and Gail Bliss absolutely nailed this performance of Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman.”

The coaches are clapping along, with Snoop Dogg on his feet by the end of the performance. “You had Snoop dancing up a storm,” exclaimed Reba McEntire.

“Christina, you’re a force of nature,” continued the “Queen of Country.” “Your vocal was up there. Gail, you had more of the low wind going. You’re almost like sisters up there singing together, having fun, so boy, good luck there, Snoop.”

The “Gin and Juice” rapper admitted he was about to make a decision that would “break my heart.”

“It doesn’t take a lot to make me move, but it takes a lot to make me get to gangster Holy Ghost,” he said. “And that’s what y’all gave me.”

Ultimately, Snoop went with Christina, sending Gail home after previously saving her with the Coach’s Replay button.

How Long Do the Battle Rounds Last?

The Blind Auditions have concluded, meaning each coach now has a team of 14 artists heading into the Battles round of The Voice.

In the Battle Rounds, two members of the same team will sing the same song chosen by their coach. The coaches decide which artist will advance to the Knockout rounds based on that performance. While this often spells the end of the road for the losing artist, other coaches will have the opportunity to steal them.

The Battle Rounds will wrap Nov. 4 after three weeks. Then, each coach will have nine artists on their teams going into the Knockouts.
