Last night at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee, country star Randy Travis and alt-folk sensations The Avett Brothers joined forces to perform songs from their respective catalogs for an upcoming episode of CMT Crossroads.
From the Avett’s side, there was “I And Love and You,” “January Wedding,” and “Murder In The City.” Travis’s tunes included “Forever And Ever Amen,” “Three Wooden Crosses,” “Diggin’ Up Bones” and “Deeper Than The Holler.”
Travis, now famous for his run-ins with law enforcement, shared stories about his small home town, where cops pull people over for “being the best driver they’ve ever seen.”
CMT Crossroads: The Avett Brothers and Randy Travis premieres Friday, November 23 at 11:00 p.m., ET/PT. Read our recap of the Mumford & Sons and Emmylou Harris episode here.
