Long-time bluegrass songwriter and performer Sidney Cox finalized a deal with EverGreen Copyrights on October 14 that gives the company the ownership rights to his Sidney Lawrence Music back catalog along with a publishing deal for Cox’s future works.

This acquisition gives EverGreen the rights to 17 songs including Cox’s works performed by Alison Krauss: “Borderline,” “I’ve Got that Old Feeling,” “Broadway,” “Last Love Letter,” “Longest Highway,” “New Fool,” “Tonight I’ll Be Lonely Too” and “Wish I Still Had You” along with other songs performed by Cox’s ensemble group, The Cox Family and artist Ronnie Bowman.

Eight of Cox’s songs were featured on Krauss’ double-platinum album Broadway and his song, “Borderline,” was the title track of Krauss’ album that won a Grammy for Best Country Album in 2006.

Currently, Cox is working on songs for Krauss’s upcoming album.
