Shinedown will spend the spring of 2023 performing for fans in arenas across the U.S., beginning on April 3 in Saginaw, Michigan, and concluding on May 9 in Portland, Oregon. Along the way, they’ll make stops in their native Jacksonville, Florida, at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena, followed by the Amway Center in Orlando and the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee. Opening acts are Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New.
The Revolutions Live Tour was initially launched as a two-month trek, that ran from April to May 2022. “We’re taking The Revolutions Live Tour back through the U.S. this Spring, with special guests @threedaysgraceofficial & @fromashestonew!” Shinedown shares on Instagram as their current single, “Dead Don’t Die,” plays in the background. “It’s been hard to contain our excitement…We can’t wait to see you back on the road, Shinedown Nation!!!”
The tour is in support of their latest album, Planet Zero, released in July 2022. The project hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums, Top Hard Rocks Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts, as well as reached No. 5 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
“It was so interesting coming off the last album, Attention Attention, which was a story album and a conceptual piece, and you move into 2020 with everything that occurred,” frontman Brent Smith shared with American Songwriter in a 2022 interview about how the COVID-19 pandemic helped shape Planet Zero. “I remember arriving with [Shinedown bassist] Eric [Bass] in South Carolina right around June of 2020 and him looking at me and saying, ‘Man, it feels like we are on Planet Zero.’ For a band that didn’t intend to make a conceptual piece again, we probably made the most conceptual piece of our career with this new album.”
Tickets for The Revolutions Live Tour go on sale Friday (Jan. 27) at 10 a.m. local time. Shinedown will also appear at Blue Ridge Rock Festival at The Virginia International Raceway, taking place September 7-10.
