Shaboozey Takes the Billboard Hot 100 By Storm with “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has been on the Hot 100 chart for 12 weeks in total, with nine of them in the Top 5, according to a report from Country Now. The song made it to the top of the Hot Country chart after a debut at No. 1 on the Song of the Summer chart this year.
The song was featured on Shaboozey’s recent album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going which dropped in late May. Additionally, he’s made history with this song, as it was the first single to reach Top 10 on all four Billboard airplay charts—Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay. It was also the second single by a Black artist in history to be No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Country Songs charts.
The other artist is, of course, Beyoncé, who’s widely discussed country-adjacent album Cowboy Carter dropped in late March.
