BROUGHT TO YOU BY:
ALVAREZ GUITARS

ABOUT THE GUITAR:
Handcrafted in a traditional workshop in a Japanese mountain village under the personal guidance of master luthier Kazuo Yairi, Alvarez Yairi guitars are made with seasoned hand-selected tone woods. The woods are naturally air-dried and crafted into instruments with individually hand-shaped bracing and dovetail neck joints. This WY1K model is constructed from premium Hawaiian Koa for a completely unique look and warm, powerful tone.

The Alvarez WY1K, based on Bob Weir’s Signature Series WY1, offers everything you would expect from a handmade guitar built from quality materials. This Orchestra/Folk-sized cutaway has Hawaiian Koa back, sides and top, an ebony bridge and fretboard and a mahogany neck.

The WY1k was designed with amplification in mind and to deliver a great, well-balanced and true acoustic sound. It is fitted with System 600T MK II Electronics that feature a built-in chromatic tuner, multiband EQ with sweepable mid frequency adjustment, special notch filter to control feedback, auxillary input mix adjustment and a phase switch.

Other notable enhancements include an abalone rosette, multiple body binding, bound ebony headstock veneer, and gold die-cast tuners with amber buttons.

Quite simply an exquisite, performer’s guitar.
