Remember When: Willie Nelson United With Two of His Daughters for a Stunning CCR Tribute Performance

Willie Nelson has remained one of country music’s most beloved names throughout his nearly 60-year career. At 91 years old, the outlaw country legend is still making fans smile with new music and live performances. In addition to his music career, the “On the Road Again” singer is also a father of eight. Sons Lukas and Micah, along with daughters Amy and Paula, have inherited their dad’s musical talents. All four of them appeared on the 2021 LP Willie Nelson and Family. Occasionally, they will even share a stage with their iconic father. Here’s one time Willie Nelson teamed up with daughters Paula and Amy Nelson for a cover of this timeless Creedence Clearwater Revival hit.

See Willie Nelson & Daughters Perform “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?”

Paula Nelson joined her father for a cover of CCR’s 1971 hit “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” on his 2013 duet album To All the Girls… But before then, the Red-Headed Stranger joined his daughters onstage for a haunting live rendition of the song.

Willie Nelson seemed content to let his daughters share the spotlight, only joining in for the chorus: I want to know, have you ever seen the rain? / Coming down on a sunny day.

After sharing a tender moment with both Paula and Amy, Willie exits the stage to thunderous applause. He leaves the audience in capable hands as his daughters finish the song together.

Willie Wows the Crowd at Chris Stapleton Show

Willie Nelson gave fans a scare when health issues forced him to miss multiple stops on his Outlaw Music Festival Tour. After a triumphant return on the Fourth of July, the “Always On My Mind” singer isn’t slowing down.

Nelson joined Chris Stapleton Saturday (July 27) onstage at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park, as part of Stapleton’s “All-American Road Show.” He treated the audience to a highlight reel of his decades-long career, including “Whiskey River,” “Trigger,” and “On the Road Again.”
