Pearl Jam, who’s latest single “Just Breathe” is currently No. 5 on the Billboard Rock Charts, have announced plans to release live recordings of their entire 2010 world tour, in keeping with their longtime practice of getting live music to their fans. The band first started releasing official bootlegs in 2000, flooding the market with 72 live double albums. CD versions will sell for $16.98 per show, and FLAC downloads will cost $14.98 ( MP3s will go for $9.98.) The bootlegs will be available at Pearljam.com. Preorders are available now.
The veteran Seattle rockers have also launched Pearl Jam Radio, which is now streaming on their web site, and features live and rare tracks. We just listened to a killer version of “Not For You” from a 1995 gig in Chicago.
